The short answer

$2,500–$11,000

Installed prices including equipment, line sets and electrical hookup. We install Mitsubishi — premium equipment with 10–12 year warranties when professionally installed.

Typical industry ranges for Western Washington — not a quote. Your exact price comes upfront, before any work starts, and you approve it first.

What moves the price

1

Number of zones

Each indoor head is a zone. One head cools an open living space; bedrooms behind doors want their own.

2

Line set runs

Short, clean runs to a nearby wall are simple. Long runs across the house or to a far roofline add labor and materials.

3

Head style

Wall-mounted heads are the workhorse. Ceiling cassettes and floor consoles look cleaner and cost more.

4

Electrical

A new dedicated circuit is standard; older panels sometimes need work. Visible in the quote, never after.

Quick answers

Can one unit do my whole house?

An open-plan main floor, often yes. Bedrooms with closed doors get warm/cold pockets — that’s what multi-zone is for. We’ll tell you honestly if one head covers it, because an undersized install helps nobody.

Are there rebates for ductless?

PSE has offered ductless rebates, especially replacing electric baseboard heat, and Washington runs income-qualified programs. The federal 25C credit expired end of 2025. We check what’s active for your address at the quote.

What about the DIY kits online?

They exist, and they void most manufacturer warranties — proper vacuum, charge and commissioning need real tools. A professionally installed Mitsubishi carries a 10–12 year warranty. The math usually favors doing it once, right.
